I have set up this tribute for my beautiful Mum, Diane Slinger, who unfortunately lost her battle with ovarian cancer on 27th July 2002 aged just 46 years. If we manage to raise £1,000 we can have a plaque dedicated to Mum at the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre which does vital research into ovarian cancer. Me and my sister Claire will do fundraising to try and reach my target so watch this space! My Mum was instrumental in us finding out we have the BRCA1 gene mutation in the family and giving those of us affected by the gene the best chance of hopefully preventing us getting breast and ovarian cancer. Mum was extremely brave and courageous and we are all very proud of her. We miss her everyday.
